What is the assessment centre?

The Numensa team have poured their decades of experience in buying and merchandise planning into developing comprehensive standardised testing for anyone working in merchandise management.

The purpose of the assessments is to benchmark a person’s knowledge and skills against those required at differing job levels.  As we gather more data, we will be able to provide comparative data across the market as a whole.

For recruitment...

Taking on a new hire is risky and time consuming.  By using the Numensa Assessment centre, you get a clear picture of a candidate’s skillset, their strengths as well as any areas for improvement.  This allows you to make objective decisions based on the needs of the business and what you feel are allowable weaknesses.  It also gives you an objective viewpoint to compare one candidate with another.

To develop your team's capabilities...

Members of the merchandise management team have more direct impact on profitability per head than any other team in retail.  Ensuring that your merch team has the right skills and knowledge to perform their roles is key to success.  But what are their strengths and where are their skill-gaps?  The Numensa Assessment centre gives you a clear picture of your team’s learning and development needs, so you can target training where its needed.
