Whilst in London I met Gareth Boden, a co-founder of Monroe, a men’s skincare brand.
Monroe is an elegant example of the growth in male preening. The founders of the company Luke and Gareth, apply their previous careers of fashion photography to create an aesthetically appealing, high quality product for increasingly stylish men. Their brand promotes that “form and function is very important to us, and governs everything we apply our selves to”. Monroe follow the foot steps of the slow food movement, by emphasising the significance of locally sourced and produced products by having all their merchandise handcrafted in London.
