Beverley Chambers

Beverley is founder and Managing Director of Numensa and IWANTTOBEAFASHIONBUYER.COM.  She has over 30 years global retail experience in buying and product development with blue chip companies in the UK and Australia including, Marks & Spencer, Next, Arcadia and Coles. Her global experience in supplier sourcing strategy, product development and people management for large corporations at a senior level, has allowed her to utilise these skills with a wide range of retailers in a variety of projects.

She brings an exceptional creativity to the team and is extremely results focused. Her enthusiasm for all things retail is infectious and she draws on this when facilitating, training and mentoring.  Her passion is developing young talent, she has previously lectured at RMIT on the Fashion & Textiles Merchandise program, consulted to the Australian Retail Association (ARA) to develop acredited programs in merchandise management, as well as developed programs for Monash University and University of Melbourne Business School.

Over the past decade, Beverley has trained, mentored and developed the capabilities of entire merchandise teams for ASX200 companies, developed trainee buyer/planner programs for numerous retailers.  Devised recruitment assessments to give confidence to retailers in the hiring process and launched a unique work integrated learning program through IWANTTOBEAFASHIONBUYER.COM.

When not working with her retail clients, Beverley enjoys theatre, the arts, great food and good wine and loves to travel overseas.
