1.What motivated you to pursue a career in retail?
My love of clothing took me into a retail cadetship with Myer straight out of school and I never stopped and never looked back.
2. What challenges do you believe women face in becoming leaders in the industry?
I don’t think there are challenges specifically for women to become leaders in this industry. Anyone has to be passionate about the industry and want to succeed in it. You have to want to lead and lead by example.
3. What accomplishment are you most proud of?
Working alongside Designers in my career to further develop their brands into highly successful and accessible everyday brands.
The breadth of my career from attending International fashion weeks and working with Designer brands to now operating a mass retail and loving every minute of the experience and the people I have worked with along the way.
My proudest accomplishment is raising my beautiful son to achieve and be the wonderful person he is today.
4. Which woman has inspired you to achieve more in your life? (Not necessarily someone from your career)
Really my mother has inspired me to really stretch myself and achieve all I have today.
5. What advice would you have for someone starting their career in retail today?
Be prepared for hard work and exceptional rewards. Work hard and don’t take any day for granted as it’s a moving feast.
